Alice Stewart Career-
CNN brought Stewart on as a political commentator before the 2016 election, and she made frequent appearances on air to offer analysis of current political events, with her most recent appearance being on “The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer” just last Friday.
Discussing her position as a commentator for the network, Stewart mentioned to Harvard Political Review in 2020 that she provides “a viewpoint that I believe CNN values.” Stewart stated that his role at CNN is to represent conservative views while maintaining an independent mindset. I am not someone who blindly follows certain beliefs or parties; I have not abandoned my rationality and morality when choosing to vote for (Trump).
CNN host Dana Bash, who has been acquainted with Stewart for nearly two decades since meeting her during her time with the Huckabee campaign, praised her on Saturday as a person who consistently told the truth.
Blitzer explained to Jessica Dean on “CNN Newsroom” that they consistently extended an invitation for her to appear on his show, as they were certain they would gain knowledge by the end of their discussion. “She aided our audience in gaining a deeper understanding of the situation, which is why we will miss her greatly.”
Bash added that her valuable presence on political panels was mainly attributed to the experience she brought. She possessed an extensive understanding of the workings of Republican politics and campaigns, and she consistently engaged with a smile.
Stewart was also a member of the senior advisory committee at the Institute of Politics at Harvard University’s Kennedy School, where she had previously worked as a fellow. During her leisure time, Stewart enjoyed running regularly.
